3 Letters PULS Word Reflection

Image
This one out of all the other six sketches to me is the most creative for me and I think it was the first one I did. My thought process when doing this was to recreate what someone's mind may go through when something happens, good or bad. At first your mind goes wild, with thousands of thoughts going through your head screaming how and why something may happen (The A, and H are made to spell AH!). Then a block, you think back on what you did, a moment of silence reflecting on what you did. Later on a why, why is this happening to me, why ME out of all people, why. I've been in this situation before with some actions I did made me think about what is right, and what was wrong. So I wanted to translate it into some sort of visual representation. Thus, whoever is grading this blogger I hope you enjoy this art piece. The drafts, to be honest this part of the project was the biggest pain for me, as doing 30+ charatcers with different fonts, looking back and forth is tiring. OK t...

Three letters final blogger

Image
Out of all the 6 drafts I decided to make this one my final, because the other drafts to me looked either boring, or messy. This one is the most coordinated and formatted out of the six. The A,V, and Z is supposed to be my name, Anthony Vazquez. The A being explanatory, the V being the first letter of my last name and Z, being the last letter of my last name. I like how with the A, and Z, it like all the alphabet like A-Z. To be honest it not the most original idea as I'm pretty sure other students did the same thing, But I like how I did this and looks nice to me. For the First draft it's a Z, i, and o, I just wanted a drawing that looked like it has been in the washing machine that has been set on cycle. The second one is up there ^. The Third one I wanted to make some sort of box shape with the long sides with the letters of T, l, and p. The fourth one was close to being picked for the final draft as I wanted the drawing to represent how sometimes big companies and d...

Exploring Repetition Final

Image
In this entire project drawing these six drawing, it was fun not having any real restrictions and only have to draw a pattern let me express my creative side. This looks like when you look outside watching through the window when it rains. Original I want to put arrow head at the end of the line, but Mr Hadel told me not to as it wouldn't be " Abstract ". I would've added the arrow heads but its nice and I don't mean the end product. I guess my drawing skills improved in this one having more organized and straight figure, This one was a pain to do with the compass I was not able to make smaller circles but these small- medium sized circles. So I had these small shaded circles in the top left which I wished I could have make a little more neater. Overall I'm content with what I have with even Ms, ...

Repetition w/ Paper Shapes

Image
What was your process like? - Did you achieve the result you wanted? - How did you collaborate with your team to complete the project? - What did you enjoy? - What did you not enjoy? Making this with Ray, John E and kundan was very chaotic working with them in the start but later on was fun working as a group. With first starting with 16 circles on all sides in a T formation then adding on to with the other guys was fun. We choose this image as we all found it very simple and easy which at the time didn't look like a lot of work. When we found out we had to add on to it, we  decided to get rid of some of the negative space. I help out adding triangles around the circles and to the squares in the corner. With the final project looks every nice passing through my simple expectations making it look very cool (On the top rights corner there is supposed a be another yellow square). Some of use cut, tape,  and I  align  the shapes into their place in the p...

How different artist use repetition in their works

Image
M.C. Escher                                        The way M.C Escher uses repetition in his work by repeating the same image or item to form a unique figure.  M.C Escher forms the same shape into a interesting picture by using the same thing with only some differences to make the drawing more interesting. In some drawings looking like the painting is reflected on both side with only some sparse details being switched up. Yayoi Kusama Yayoi Kusama uses her unique way of drawing to her fullest. Kusama uses the repetition of the same shape to make her art pop out. Using stand out colors with a secondary color of black to contrast it. Kusama shapes her shapes into a figure having art that really stands out from other artist. Donald Judd Donald Judd is a minimalist that bleeds into his art, having work with repeating shapes with barely any difference having his art being m...

Interrelationship of Form

Image
Overlapping  This drawing shows overlapping as the two triangles overlap with each other forming a cross shape and with two circles on top.  Subtraction Only in a certain parts of the drawing the every thin oval darkens the edges of the two circles. The parts where the oval is it kinds looks like an eye to me. Coinciding I feel like this drawing shows coinciding well as al the circles smaller circles and the dots stand by one another in a pattern. With the dots on the north, south, east and west side of the circles and the smaller circles in between each bigger circle. Touching Between all three shapes the circle, triangle and square are touching with each other with some light shading on the different shapes. Out of all the other drawing this is one of the more simple drawing I have made. Intersection The different lines were made with different circles with a compass and as they get bigger and bigger they would intersect with each other which is what is shaded in the middle....

exploring the principles of design through fertography

Image
Balance This picture I got from the pin board demonstrates balance as its very simplistic but has unity in the picture. To add on the pictures elements don't   weighted against each other on different sides of the design to create cohesiveness Emphasis This picture represents the element of Emphasis as between the wooden area the unique pencil sharpener is the only thing there. The only thing that is the main focus of the picture is the pencil sharpener focus in the main part of the picture. Contrast The picture I took from the classroom shows the design element of contrast due to the drawing having  visual elements placed close together noticeably different from each other. For example in the drawing it has different highlights   creating exciting graphics and creates a dynamics from each shaded part making a unique   design  contrasting each other. Pattern The picture is showing the design of patterns because the papers are put in a way that is repeating itsel...
