3 Letters PULS Word Reflection

 


This one out of all the other six sketches to me is the most creative for me and I think it was the first one I did. My thought process when doing this was to recreate what someone's mind may go through when something happens, good or bad. At first your mind goes wild, with thousands of thoughts going through your head screaming how and why something may happen (The A, and H are made to spell AH!). Then a block, you think back on what you did, a moment of silence reflecting on what you did. Later on a why, why is this happening to me, why ME out of all people, why. I've been in this situation before with some actions I did made me think about what is right, and what was wrong. So I wanted to translate it into some sort of visual representation. Thus, whoever is grading this blogger I hope you enjoy this art piece.



The drafts, to be honest this part of the project was the biggest pain for me, as doing 30+ charatcers with different fonts, looking back and forth is tiring.

OK the First one the word is supposed to be Title, with the background letters being l, e, and x. 

All of Title is in Garamond(Old Style)

l, is in Helvetica (Sans Serif)

The E, was in Helvetica (Sans Serif) as well

the x is in Bodoni (Modern)

I wanted it to look like a text file, with the Title being the Title, the l being a bracket, and the ex standing in for a example, like when they do (ex.).


The Second one is one top I just switched up the placement a bit.


The Third one The word is Bet, which I got after I asked Daniel.V for a word

Bet is in Bodoni (Modern) 

The a, is in Baskerville (Transitional)

The G, is in Helvetica (Sans Serif)

the i is in Garamond (Old Style)

To be Honest it just put the letters in random places after I found out we weren't supposed to fully spell out the letter.


The Fourth one is Word, Baskerville (Transitional) Thank you Ms. Ibarra for helping me out on this one.

The I, is in Garamond (Old Style)

The u, is Rockwell (Slab Serif)

I seems I forgot to add the third letter and I just put the letters in random places


This fifth one I tried to make online faces like :D, and XO. But it kind of fell apart at the end.

The word is Cool, and it's in Garamond (Old style).

The X is in Rockwell (Slab Serif)

The D, is in Helvetica (Sans Serif)

The O is in Baskerville (Transitional)


The last word is Cat, so I tried to make the letters look like apart of a cat. The t, being the tail, the a, a bell, C the head, m the legs, and the w ears. The L is like sheif the cat walks on.

Cat is Rockwell (Slab Serif)

m is Baskerville (Transitional)

W is Garamond (Old Style)

The L is Helvetica (Sans Serif)

                                                      In this entire project drawing these six drawing, it was fun not having any real restrictions and only have to draw a pattern let me express my creative side. This looks like when you look outside watching through the window when it rains. Original I want to put arrow head at the end of the line, but Mr Hadel told me not to as it wouldn't be " Abstract ". I would've added the arrow heads but its nice and I don't mean the end product. Repetition w/ Paper Shapes

  What was your process like? - Did you achieve the result you wanted? - How did you collaborate with your team to complete the project? - What did you enjoy? - What did you not enjoy? Making this with Ray, John E and kundan was very chaotic working with them in the start but later on was fun working as a group. With first starting with 16 circles on all sides in a T formation then adding on to with the other guys was fun. We choose this image as we all found it very simple and easy which at the time didn't look like a lot of work. When we found out we had to add on to it, we  decided to get rid of some of the negative space. I help out adding triangles around the circles and to the squares in the corner. With the final project looks every nice passing through my simple expectations making it look very cool (On the top rights corner there is supposed a be another yellow square).
